Statement: Through the Teacher Lab I learned: • About connections between American history and American art movements. • New ways to help students uncover the past by making connections to the present. • To develop a balance between historical investigation and art production. • The importance of incorporating more American art history into my curriculum. • How to improve students' non-fiction reading skills by walking them through the process of exploration: about the artist, about the artwork, about the time period. |
