Collection Loan: William Glackens

This major retrospective of William Glackens—the first significant survey in fifty years— presents the artist’s work from the 1890s to the 1930s, including some of his major paintings, as well as sketchbooks containing preliminary studies that demonstrate his creative process. Two paintings by Glackens from the Terra Foundation collection, Bal Bullier, c. 1895, and Beach, St. Jean de Luz, 1929, provide excellent examples of the artist’s early and late work.
