Lecture: “The Artist’s Garden—American Impressionism and the Garden Movement”

Anna Marley, of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, will intertwine stories of American artists, Impressionism, and the growing popularity of gardening as a middle-class leisure pursuit at the turn of the twentieth century in this talk. The lecture is included with admission to the Art Institute of Chicago, which is free for Illinois residents on Thursdays. The program will take place at Fullerton Hall, and no registration is required.
