Lecture: “John Singer Sargent’s Parisian Portraits”

Erica Hirshler, Croll Senior Curator of American Paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, discusses American painter John Singer Sargent’s The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit in relation to the Art Institute of Chicago’s recent acquisition of Sargent’s 1882 Portrait of Madam Escudier.

This event is part of the Terra Foundation American Art Lectures at the Art Institute of Chicago. The lecture will be held in Fullerton Hall and is free with museum admission.
