Exhibition/Terra Collection Initiative: L’impressionnisme et les Américains

L’impressionnisme et les Américains, organized jointly by the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny and the Terra Foundation for American Art, explores the beginnings of American impressionism. Featuring 36 paintings from the Terra Foundation collection, this exhibition traces Americans’ initial experimentation with impressionist techniques in the 1880s and 1890s to the development of a collective, though highly diverse, American version of the movement by 1900.
