TERRA FOUNDATION FOR AMERICAN ART AWARDS MORE THAN $1.8 MILLION IN ITS FALL 2011 QUARTER

(Chicago, Illinois)—The Terra Foundation for American Art awards $1,864,020 for 17 grants, initiatives, and partnerships, which include: support for the 2012–2013 exhibition Claes Oldenburg,  a comprehensive overview of Oldenburg's oeuvre from the late-1950s to the present that will travel from Vienna to Cologne to Bilbao;  support for three years of funding for the annual Terra Foundation Lecture on American Art at the Chicago Humanities Festival; and support for a series of annual presentations of American art jointly organized by the High Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Musée du Louvre, and Terra Foundation for American Art, the first of which will be Encounters with American Art: Thomas Cole. The Terra Foundation for American Art seeks a Communication and Web Manager to develop and implement a global communications strategy and web presence that will advance the Foundation's identity and broaden awareness of its programs and impact. The Communication and Web Manager, based in Chicago, would develop, oversee, and implement an integrated foundation-wide communication and digital-media plan in both offices and manage the website.
