Ravi Saligram Biography

Ravi Saligram is a three-time public company CEO with a track record of building brands and businesses. Most recently, he was CEO of Newell Brands, where he reduced complexity, rejuvenated iconic brands such as Sharpie through innovations, drove a supply-chain transformation and dramatically improved employee engagement. Under his leadership, Newell was named to Fortune’s Most Admired list. He retired in May 2023 after developing an internal successor. He subsequently joined MidOcean Partners, a private equity firm, as an Operating Partner.

Previously, he was CEO of Ritchie Bros. where he transformed a brick-and-mortar heavy equipment live auction business to a data-driven digital leader and doubled its market cap. Before that he served as CEO of OfficeMax, where he led the Company’s merger of equals with Office Depot, quadrupling shareholder value. He has also held senior executive roles with Aramark, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and SC Johnson.

Ravi has been recognized as 2018 CEO of the Year by Business Vancouver, 2021 Most Admired CEO by Atlanta Business Chronicle, and 2021 Transformative CEO by the CEO Forum Group. He has served on the board of Church & Dwight for 18 years, is currently Lead Director, and has extensive experience leading CEO succession.
