This Terra Foundation-supported exhibition will reconsider the centralization of American Pop by investigating its global presence during the late 1950s through the 1960s. International Pop will feature more than 100 objects drawn from private and public collections around the globe, along with a variety of ephemera, film materials, and video work. Iconic works by US Pop artists—such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jasper Johns—will be presented alongside a selection of work by international artists—such as Pauline Boty, Waldemar Cordeiro, Wanda Pimentel, Martial Raysse, Ushio Shinohara, and Dalila Puzzovio.
The exhibition is also on view at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, (April 11–August 29, 2015) and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (February 18–May 15, 2016).
