The panel conversation will explore early 19th and 19th and 20th century artists and designers of color and their relationship with the contemporary state of art and design. Topics will include the design process itself, and the history of Chicago art and design and its relevance to communities of color.
The panel is moderated by award-winning designer Norman Teague (blKHaUS studio), with panelists Paola Aguirre (Borderless Studio), Katherine Darnstadt (Latent Design), Yohance Lacour (YJL Sneakers), Obi Nwazota (Orange Skin), and Zoë Ryan (Art Institute of Chicago).
