Symposium: “American Art History and Digital Scholarship: New Avenues of Exploration”

On November 15 and 16, The Archives of American Art will hold the first symposium on digital humanities and American art. Digital humanities is the practice of combining emerging digital technologies and traditional humanistic study to generate and answer new questions relevant to humanities scholars and to share and transform scholarship and its modes of dissemination. This two-day event – to be held at the Nan Tucker McEvoy Auditorium in the Smithsonian Institution’s Donald W. Reynolds Center in Washington, DC – will consist of one day of panel presentations and a second half-day of workshops and moderated conversations.
