To support the exhibition Ground Condition in February 2024 at 516 ARTS. Ground Condition invites artists and audiences to experience the Earth’s changing reality through somatic, embodied, and relational expressions. The project is being developed by Nina Elder with a cohort of other artists (Mitsu Salmon, Dionne Lee, and Christine Howard Sandoval) who, during a period of in-depth research in New Mexico, produces artworks that foster empathetic responses toward changing ecologies and planetary shifts. The exhibition is accompanied by a range of public programs and an exhibition catalogue.
