To support the 2009 “American Art Partners” program, a five-day summer institute that introduces Chicago Public Schools teachers to American art at the Art Institute of Chicago, offers them ideas for incorporating American art in the school curriculum, and supports three artist residencies in classrooms of participating teachers during the 2009–2010 school year.
