To support a three-day convening for The Essential Oneness of the Western Hemisphere: The United States, Mexico, and American Art, an exhibition organized by Bowdoin College Museum of Art (BCMA), the Museo Nacional de Antropologia (MNA), and the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (INAH) at the MNA. The exhibition explores the emergence of an inclusive view of “American” art among modernists in Mexico and the United States in the twentieth-century interwar period. All publications associated with the exhibition will be in English and Spanish.
