To support the exhibition planning for CALA Alliance–organized exhibitions at the ASU Art Museum (ASUAM). The CALA Alliance (Celebración Artística de las Américas) is organizing solo museum exhibitions for two artists, either a first solo museum presentation or one of the earliest of their respective careers. This exhibition series, hosted at ASUAM, comprises the presentations of New York–based Sarah Zapata (January 2024–June 2024) and San Antonio–based José Villalobos (January 2025 – June 2025). The exhibitions is accompanied by a modest publication, thereby adding to the developing field of Latinx art history.
