To support Rodney McMillian: A Son of the Soil, a major solo exhibition featuring the Columbia-born artist’s work across media, including painting, sculpture, and film. The exhibition, his largest U.S. show to date and first solo presentation in the Southeast, will foreground the artist’s ongoing investigations pertaining to the politics of landscape, especially as manifested in a Southern context. A printed catalogue will accompany the exhibition, and a short film on the artist will be produced.
