To support Black Artists in California: 19th Century to Now, a multimedia collection-based exhibition opening at the Crocker Art Museum after years of community planning and research. Surveying the profound contributions of African American artists to the history of California art, and including thematic sections that cut across time and representation, the project shares archival materials, oral histories, short videos of three living artists, and includes a scholarly catalogue.
