To support the exhibition Carl Andre: Sculpture as Place, 1958–2010, which surveys all major historical and aesthetic shifts in the artistic practice of Carl Andre (b. 1935). The exhibition draws on iconic pieces from the 1960s and 1970s, more recent sculptural experiments, and a selection of the artist’s poems. This exhibition travels to DIA:Beacon, New York; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; and Museé d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris. A comprehensive scholarly publication accompanies the project.
