To support Joseph Cornell and Surrealism in New York: Dalí, Duchamp, Ernst, Man Ray…, an exhibition to be shown at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (October 2013–February 2014) and the University of Virginia Art Museum (March–June 2014). Co-organized by a French and an American curator, the exhibition concentrates on the decades of the 1930s and 1940s in the career of Joseph Cornell (1903–1972). It examines his engagement with a set of motifs, artistic techniques, and processes. Two major symposia are also planned.
