To support the exhibition Sky Hopinka, opening in February 2024 at the Frye Art Museum. Sky Hopinka consists of five recent films and ten new photographs by artist Sky Hopinka (b.1984, Ferndale, WA), a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin and a descendent of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians. The exhibition serves as the first solo presentation at a museum in the artist’s home state of Washington. A scholarly print publication and digital brochure accompanies the exhibition.
