To support A Sense of Indigenous Place: Native American Voices and the Mound (working title) at the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The exhibition asks challenging questions about who “owns” the sites of these Indigenous mounds, who should tell their stories, how they are understood in the modern and contemporary period, and how they continue to inform contemporary Native culture and art.
