To support the catalogue, a study day, and the 2011 exhibition titled An American Experiment: George Bellows and the Ashcan Painters, co-organized by the Terra Foundation and the National Gallery. Consisting of ten to twelve paintings, including four works from the foundation’s collection, the focused exhibition introduces London audiences to the work of this American artist and his circle of peers.
