To support the exhibition Artepaño/Kerchief Art at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art. The project is based on an artistic tradition that emerged in penitentiaries across the American Southwest in the 20th and 21st centuries, in which inmates tear linens from fifteen-inch cotton handkerchiefs into makeshift canvases and draw upon various media in their creations. A scholarly publication accompanies the exhibition.
