To support the development at the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum with community collaborators of The Art of Liberation: Washington, D.C.’s Black Arts Movement of the 1960s–1980s (working title), a collection-based exhibition exploring the history and impact of the city’s Black Arts Movements, long overshadowed by related collectives, organizations, and artists in other U.S. cities.
