To support the appointment of a Terra Research Fellow in American Art at Tate as part of an “American Art Initiative.” The fellow will spearhead research and reflection around a range of American art works in the permanent collection, both celebrated and lesser known, over a period of three years (fall 2014–summer 2017) through scholarly workshops, an international symposium, essays, and more.
