To support Pathways to Modernism: American Art, 1865–1945, the first major exhibition partnership between the Art Institute of Chicago and the Terra Foundation for American Art featuring paintings and works on paper by American masters such as Winslow Homer, James McNeill Whistler, Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe, Edward Hopper and Jackson Pollock, and others. The exhibition opens at the Shanghai Museum in China and travels to the Nanjing Museum. The Shanghai Museum will publish a Chinese-language catalogue for the exhibition.
