To support Ya Hecho: Readymade in the Borderlands, an exhibition that highlights new and recent work by 17 contemporary artists from both sides of the US-Mexico border. The project examines artists’ engagements with works created from found materials and consumer products of the material culture of the Borderlands, a region persistently underrepresented in American institutional narratives. The catalogue will feature written statements by participating artists and scholarly essays exploring the exhibition’s themes in greater depth.
