The book provides social, cultural, economic, and design context for the luxurious multi-unit lakefront housing constructed between the late nineteenth and twenty-first centuries. The new edition includes coverage of a dozen additional buildings, a new preface, additions to the bibliography, and an emphasis on interior design contemporary with the dates of the buildings.
