To support the 2007 exhibition Born of Fire: The Valley of Work at the Rhineland Industrial Museum
(Oberhausen, Germany) and one additional European venue. The exhibition, which examines the art
of the Big Steel Era in Pittsburgh (approximately 1890 to 1950), was organized by the Westmoreland
Museum and is drawn from their notable “Scenes of Industry” collection.
