Pritzker Military Library, Chicago

Wim de Wit, Adjunct Curator at Stanford University’s Cantor Art Museum and Consulting Curator at the Getty Research Institute, examines the impact of Frank Lloyd Wright in the Netherlands, discussing Dutch architect Hendrik P. Berlage’s contact with Wright’s work during his 1911 visit to the United States, which led to a greater European profile for Wright and started a close relationship between the American architect and his Dutch colleagues in both the Amsterdam School and De Stijl.

This lecture is part of the “Origins and Influences” series presented by the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.
