Dr. Wendy Hitchmough, the head of Historic Buildings and Research at Historic Royal Palaces of Great Britain, traces the European roots of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most ambitious early houses. Considering the work of a range of architects and designers from William Morris to Eliel Saarinen, this lecture contextualizes Wright by exploring ways in which artists and designers joined forces and broke rules in domestic design.
This lecture is part of a series on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Origins and Influences presented by the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.
