Smarthistory: Seeing America

The Terra Foundation supported Smarthistory: Seeing America, a website created with 25 museums and cultural organizations that examines the history of the United States from before European settlers to the modern era.

Using works of art as primary sources, and through videos and essays, Seeing America provides a short-form multimedia introduction to American history through American art, bringing learners to museums virtually. The project’s conversational video content creates an intimate and engaging learning experience.
