Co-organized by the Rothermere American Art Institute, the Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, and the Art History Department at the University of Oxford; and the Department of American and Canadian Studies at the Univeristy of Nottingham, this two-day international symposium draws together African American and Black British artists, as well as museum and gallery directors, curators, and scholars, to explore the histories, narratives, and legacies of transatlantic slavery.
