Program Officer, Convening Grants and Initiatives

Bianca A. Manu (she/her) is the Program Officer of Convening Grants & Initiatives at the Terra Foundation for American Art. A Ghanaian British curator, writer, and live events producer, Bianca brings to the Terra Foundation her extensive experience in modern and contemporary African art, archives, and photography. Her work has included curatorial, research and programming roles with institutions such as the Serpentine Gallery, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the Wellcome Collection, and Art Fund.

Bianca’s writing has appeared in outlets including The Guardian, the BBC, Sky News, Red Bull Music and NAATAL. She has participated in numerous residencies and fellowships, including the Stuart Hall Library Residency (2018), Cité Internationale des Arts (2021), and the Fluxus Art Projects Curatorial Research program (2024). Most recently, she co-curated the Black Artist Retreat at the Luma Foundation in Arles in 2024, at the invitation of Theaster Gates.

She holds a degree in English Literature and American Studies, with a focus on African American literature and history.

Outside of work, Bianca enjoys swimming, writing, and exploring Paris on long walks.
