Program Officer for Chicago Grants & Initiatives
Megha Ralapati (she/her) is the Program Officer for Chicago Grants & Initiatives at the Terra Foundation for American Art. She has worked across the arts ecosystem since 2005, supporting networks of practice locally and internationally, focusing on the unique needs of artists and possibilities for arts organizations to support them.
In prior roles, Megha developed Hyde Park Art Center’s international residency program and worked toward expanding perspectives on art from Asia through Asia Contemporary Art Forum. She currently develops curatorial projects through SpaceShift Collective, an interdisciplinary arts community in Chicago.
Megha holds a BA in Art History and Anthropology from Columbia University, an MA from Goldsmiths, and is currently pursuing a degree at University of Chicago’s Divinity School. She is a member of the boards of Artist Communities Alliance and Enrich Chicago and serves in an advisory role for the Center for Contemporary Art Lagos. When free, she gently forces people to go dancing with her across Chicago.
