Ric Estrada is the President and CEO of Metropolitan Family Services, one of Illinois’ largest human services agencies. Since joining in 2011, he has led the agency through significant growth, in which its revenue and the number of families served has quadrupled. With more than 30 years of experience in human services, Ric previously served as First Deputy Commissioner of the City of Chicago’s Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) and as Executive Director of Erie Neighborhood House.

Ric is active in several organizations, serving on the boards of ComEd, Metra, and the Grand Victoria Foundation. He has received numerous accolades, including the City of Chicago’s Legacy Award, the City Club of Chicago’s John A. McDermott Award, and the University of Chicago’s Social Impact Alumni Award. He has also been named Person of the Year by the Corporate Responsibility Group and a 40 Under 40 honoree by Crain’s Chicago Business.

Ric holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MA from the University of Chicago, and a BS in Psychology from Loyola University. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Beatriz Ponce de León, and their two daughters.
