To support the 2013 traveling exhibition American Encounters: Genre Painting and Everyday Life, co-organized by the Terra Foundation, the High Museum of Art (Atlanta), the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (Bentonville, Arkansas), and the Musée du Louvre (Paris), as well as publication of a scholarly catalogue. The exhibition opens in Paris and travels to Bentonville and Atlanta. It is the second in a series of four presentations that examine relationships between European and American paintings.
