To support The Visual Arts of the Black Chicago Renaissance, a professional-development and curriculum-development program for teachers at Chicago Public Schools. The program brings together local scholars and 15 teachers in grades 6–12 for a week-long summer institute focused on increasing teacher understanding of the Black Chicago Renaissance through artwork.
