To support Yua: Henri Matisse and the Inner Arctic Spirit, an exhibition that presents masks and drawings by Alaskan Natives alongside the work of Matisse, whose fascination with images of Inuit peoples became the source of inspiration for many of his works. The exhibition draws attention to the contributions of Native art to modern art. A catalogue in English and Central Yup’ik with some texts in French accompanies the exhibition.
