To support four three-month visiting professorships at the John–F.–Kennedy–Institut für Nordamerikastudien at the Freie Universität Berlin for the 2011–12 and 2012–13 academic years. Visiting professors offer specialized courses, seminars, and lectures on the history of American art and visual culture, and participate in the larger academic community throughout their stay.
