To support the international graduate student symposium “Mapping the Landscape: Geography, Power, and the Imagination in the Art of the Americas,” held in March 2013 at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. The symposium focused on the North and South American landscape in the 19th and 20th centuries and explored mapping as a conceptual and artistic practice from a hemispheric perspective.
