To support the exhibition Robert Motherwell: The Early Collages, which explores the artist’s work in collage. Featuring a group of approximately 60 objects made between 1941 and 1951, and drawn from museum and private collections in the United States and Europe, the exhibition will offer an in-depth study of this pivotal period. It will be shown at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, Italy, (May–September 2013) and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (September 2013–January 2014).
