To support the 2012–13 retrospective of the work of Roy Lichtenstein. Co-curated by the Art Institute of Chicago and Tate Modern (London) and also presented at the Centre Pompidou (Paris), the exhibition is the first retrospective to be mounted since the artist’s death in 1997. It brings together approximately 130 of his most definitive paintings and sculptures, as well as roughly thirty works on paper, many of which are exhibited publicly for the first time.
