To support “Retracing America: Modernism after Paul Strand,” a two-day conference at University College London in 2012. The symposium brings together ten scholars from the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe to consider the work and legacy of Alfred Stieglitz’s protégé Paul Strand and is the first international conference to consider Strand’s rich and varied photographic practice.
