ArtNav is an interactive platform inspired by mapping software that allows for the interpretation and exploration of works of art. Layering media and text over high resolution images, ArtNav highlights key features of objects and provides deeper context for works of art in the Terra Foundation collection.

ArtNav was built using open source deep-zoom software, a map-marker interface, and a IIIF image host. Designed to meet IIIF image hosting standards, ArtNav helps lay the foundation for future image accessibility and standards in structured meta-data.

Is there an object in the collection that you would like to see added to ArtNav? Or do you want to know more about the open source content behind ArtNav? Let us know by emailing [email protected].
